The kicker signal is probably the most dramatic change in sentiment. In the case of the Bullish kicker you have your first candlestick closing lower than the open, likely in the direction of the trend, and then the open the next day is higher than the open the previous day, and then price continues in the bullish direction.

Take a look at this pattern and see if you can see how dramatic it really is. The gap up from the previous days close is HUGE.

You almost get built in confirmation by virtue of price continuing to climb, after the dramatic gap up.

This pattern is very high probability and will soon become one of your favorite candlestick patterns.
